My story
As a child I was allowed to accompany my father to the traditional Viennese coffeehouses around Naschmarkt in Vienna, where I not only loved the aroma of Austrian pastries but especially the wonderful scent of tea.
I owe my business studies degree to Earl Grey tea, whose bergamot oil with its mood-lifting effect definitely helped me through some exams.
In my international jobs, I discovered the diverse recipes for iced tea in the southern United States, fell in love with a wonderful tea ceremony in Germany, and rediscovered an old family tea recipe in Hungary.
Love brought me to an idyllic place called Kindberg in Upper Styria, where I have been running an artisan bakery with my husband Emmerich ever since – including a very special tea room!
As the first Austrian ever, I completed my training as a tea sommelier at the German Chamber of Commerce and the UK Tea Academy in London, where I met fascinating tea merchants....
and after over 50 tea tastings a day, I now know
what a "tea hangover" is.
It is my mission to help you find your favorite teas that will allow you to take a break from everyday life. You'll learn to harness the stimulating effects of tea to better manage the many demands of life and discover the calming effects of tea, which can help make life more peaceful and relaxed...
So: Let’s explore tea!
